Buhari’s Wife Calls for Arrest of Aide

Mr. President’s wife, Aisha, has reportedly called for the arrest of Sani Baba-Inna, for stealing her N2.5 billion.

Report from Premium Times stated that, the Chief Superintendent of Police, Baba-Inna, who is also Aisha Buhari’s aide, received big donations from politicians and business people on behalf of Mrs. Aisha and then kept the money to himself.

On notice of the development, Mrs. Aisha Buhari requested for the arrest of Baba-Inna by Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris for refund of the money.

However, the officer was arrested on Friday, 21th Sept. 2018 and has remained in detention. An associate of the ADC has said that the accused has denied the allegation

Fortunately to the aide, investigators only found N1,200 cash in his house. Then his account was investigated and only a balance of N30.000 was found, while the transaction record shoed that most credit to the account were his salaries and allowances.

From the outcome of the investigation so far, it could be that Mrs. Buhari was wrongly informed as nothing has pointed to the direction of such big amount of money. Example; from the source, one of the persons named was the IG of Police, but the IG said he has never passed any money through Baba-Inna.

Notwithstanding, Mrs. Aisha seem not to be satisfied with the investigation and has ordered the State Security Service (SSS) to take over the matter and get her money back.

On the order of the first lady, SSS operatives reportedly took custody of Baba-Inna.
